Open Windows is a privately held company formed in 1994, using commercial contract and project management experience to solve the Contract Management Problem. By providing system support to contract managers in global corporations and government departments, Open Windows has been able to reduce the risk of non-compliance in these organisations and facilitate real costs savings year upon year.

Open Windows Contracts Software does not replace people, it turns contract administrators back into contract managers, freeing them of manual administration tasks and allowing them to get back to the real business of contracting; people and relationships.

Open Windows is managed by Executive Director and CEO Adam McInnes and founder & Executive Director Shane McInnes. Since 2005 the ex-Premier of the State of Victoria Australia Jeff Kennett has been active as non-executive Director and Chairman of the board of Open Windows.

Management Team

Adam McInnes

Adam is a founding Director and Chief Executive Officer of Open Windows. Adam gained his depth of experience and knowledge of contract management working as a commercial construction manager in Victoria in the 1990s. He has a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from The University of Melbourne and regularly lectures on contract management techniques and the industry for the University’s business school. Adam has presented papers titled ‘The Importance of Contract Management’, ‘15 Compelling Reasons for Enterprise Contract Management’, ‘Positive Contract Management in Outsourcing’, and ‘Benefits of Good Contract Management’. Adam is currently presenting 'A day in the life of a contract manager.'

Shane McInnes

As a Civil Engineer and experienced Project Manager, Shane has a practical approach to contract management, citing good will and communication as two of the most important aspects of contracting. Shane developed the original CT Register database that computerized Victorian Local Government contract management in the 1990s, and built the foundation for Open Windows on this product. Today, Shane is Executive Director and Open Windows’ Chief Operating Officer in charge of development delivery.

The Honourable Jeffrey G Kennett

The Hon Jeffrey Kennett AC was an Officer in the Royal Australian Regiment, serving at home and overseas. He was a Member of the Victorian Parliament for 23 years, and was Premier of the State from 1992 to 1999. Mr Kennett is currently Chairman of Open Windows Australia Proprietary Limited, Australian Commercial Catering Pty Ltd and Chairman of the Board of Management of PFD Food Services Pty Ltd.  He is a Director of Equity Trustees Limited and Jumbuck Entertainment Limited. Mr Kennett is Chairman of beyondblue: the national depression initiative. He is President of the Hawthorn Football Club. Mr Kennett is Patron of a number of community organisations. In 2005 Mr Kennett was awarded the Companion of the Order of Australia.
